About The Position
Assists the professional technical staff and senior technicians in research, development, testing and manufacture of coatings and proprietary pigments. Gathers data, prepares specimens, and maintains accurate records for QA/QC purposes and maintains a secret clearance and all training and requirements to support that clearance.
Requirements
- High school diploma plus some additional technical related coursework preferred.
- Considerable related technical work experience.
- Skill in using a variety of standard tools and laboratory equipment.
- Maintain a secret clearance and all training and requirements to support that clearance.
Responsibilities
- Assists the professional technical staff and senior technicians in research, design, development, testing and manufacturing processes which includes, but is not limited to, the following: Programs, operates, maintains, calibrate, and repairs a variety of standard production equipment and machinery. Conducts a variety of tests using established methods. Prepares tests specimens and performs sample preparation. Extracts and compiles data and presents the data in prescribed form.
- Orders, as needed, necessary materials or supplies.
- Maintains accurate records per production and quality standards.
- Accesses the safe for storage of classified paperwork.
- Completes and stays current with all training requirements.
- Performs additional responsibilities as appropriate or as requested.
