About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Coatings Processor C for the 3rd Shift. This role is responsible for transforming the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing engines. The company is looking for individuals who are passionate, committed, and driven to make a difference in a rapidly evolving industry. This is an onsite position where the employee will work primarily at the assigned site.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months manufacturing/industrial/aerospace experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform pre and post coating operations on production, overhaul, or developmental parts.
  • Assist others responsible for operating and maintaining coating equipment.
  • Work from verbal, written, and electronically generated instructions to set up, adjust, and operate a variety of manual and numerically controlled auxiliary equipment in support of coating operations.
  • Perform operations within non-atmospheric ovens and furnaces, wet and dry media, cleaning and shot-peen equipment, where methods and processes are developed and closely controlled.
  • Assist with new part process tryouts, run test pieces, and re-operate rejected parts following prescribed repair instructions.
  • Check work both visually and with provided gages.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, changeovers, and maintenance on a variety of complex coating equipment.
  • Perform masking and de-masking operations; assemble and remove parts into holding fixtures.
  • Clean out coating chambers during changeovers; clean and make minor repairs to fixtures.
  • Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions for equipment upkeep.
  • Refer difficulties to a leader or supervisor.
  • May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed to support department objectives and develop skills.
  • May be required to train for, obtain, and maintain licenses, operator permits, and certifications within the assigned area.
