About The Position

The Coatings Complex Supervisor will work with the Coating Complex and the plant-wide leadership team to achieve zero injuries, coach and develop the team, continuously improve the process, and achieve commercial excellence, while taking care of customers. This role involves overseeing the application of protective coatings to steel structures, including AZ55 (Galvalume) coatings, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications. The supervisor will manage the production of coated products in accordance with ISO-9000/ISO-14000/ISO-18000 standards and is responsible for motivating teammates, defining and ensuring expectations are met, communicating departmental goals, and developing plans to achieve them. Safety is paramount, and the candidate must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

Five (5) years of experience in operation and management of hot dip galvanizing lines in the steel industry.
Start-up and commissioning experience for continuous galvanize lines producing GI and AZ55 products for construction market.
Project management and leadership experience in the following flat rolled steel processes: Pickling, Cold Rolling, Galvanizing, and continuous paint line.
Overseeing the application of protective coatings to steel structures including AZ55 (Galvalume) coatings, ensuring quality, safety and adherence to project specifications.
Managing the production of coated products in accordance with ISO-9000/ISO-14000/ISO-18000 standards.
Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
