About The Position

Manufacture thin film coating by operating coating chamber per the work order and schedule. Clean and inspect parts and QA and capable of checking the coating performance by using a spectrophotometer. Maintain/clean coating chamber per schedule. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Production Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Must be authorized to work and reside in the US and must be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government to confirm with but not limited to U.S. export control regulations (ITAR), but not limited to U.S. export (ITAR) guidelines.
Ability to manage time wisely in order to meet deadlines.
Demonstrate attention to detail.
Must be independent worker, self-motivated.
Proficient at using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and the internet.
Fast learner, driven problem solver.
Outgoing personality, professional demeanor with excellent work ethic.
Occasional standing, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Able to work with moderate level of noise.
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English.

Responsibilities

Operating and maintaining vacuum coating chamber.
Cleaning optics and loading/unloading and inspecting and packaging optics in a timely manner.
Keeping records of coating runs and maintenance logs.
Utilizing spectrophotometer to check coating performance and make reports.
Assisting engineering in all aspects.
Final lens inspection for quality assurance.
Following the 5S program guidelines.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Stopping any nonconforming process(es) which may affect safety, poor quality or customer satisfaction.
Reporting any halted nonconforming process(es) to production manager, quality department, and/or process engineer.
