About The Position

We’re looking for a Chemical Process Operator to perform thermal coating processes used in the manufacture and repair of gas turbine engine components. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will apply coatings, prepare parts for processing, inspect completed work, and support production objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and teamwork. At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams repair and manufacture critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong shop math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience working with ABB pendants or similar robotic systems.
  • Aerospace manufacturing, coating, or surface treatment experience

Responsibilities

  • Apply thermal spray coatings in accordance with work instructions, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Perform assembly, disassembly, masking, grit blasting, blending, and other part preparation activities.
  • Monitor coating application processes and verify coating quality and adherence requirements are met.
  • Complete required inspections and quality documentation using product specifications, drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and support general production activities as needed.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and 5S requirements while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
