About The Position

This position is for a 3rd shift Coating Line Operator. The role involves reading and interpreting reference materials like instructions and blueprints, operating various types of lifting and moving equipment, and using measuring instruments. The operator will be responsible for setting up and operating coating line equipment, selecting appropriate materials based on production schedules, and performing quality checks at regular intervals, recording the data collected.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret simple reference material such as printed instructions and blueprints.
Ability to operate a jib crane, overhead crane, and electric pallet jacks.
Proficient use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and fix gauges where interpretation is required.
Ability to exercise judgment to operate equipment with limitations of standard methods and procedures.
Perform duties to set up and operate Coating Line Dept. equipment.
Proficient use of equipment required by job function.
Use jib crane or overhead crane to position coil on pay off.
Use of electric pallet jacks to maneuver spools.
Work to production orders.
Select proper material for coating based on production schedules.
Check work at prescribed intervals and record data on check sheets.
