About The Position

This role involves performing various production and service activities related to the setup and operation of the coating line. The assistant will follow written procedures and instructions, conduct testing of raw materials, and communicate production and quality issues to the Extrusion Coating Operator. Responsibilities also include making computer entries for time and quantity, moving materials, providing shift change communication, performing preventative maintenance and housekeeping, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Web handling fundamentals.
• Beginner level computer skills
• High school math skills
• Must be able to read standard ruler measurements.
• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• English language verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to multi-task and work efficiently with team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform various production and service activities related to the set up and operation of the coating line following written procedures and instructions.
• Perform and document all the necessary testing of raw materials.
• Communicate production problems to the Extrusion Coating Operator.
• Communicate quality related decisions for the next operation utilizing defective material identification and flagging systems.
• Make time and quantity entries into the computer system.
• Responsible for moving raw materials and finished products as needed.
• Provide necessary communication at shift change.
• Perform all necessary preventative maintenance and housekeeping as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
