About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining coater equipment in a manufacturing environment. The Coater Operator is responsible for setting up and adjusting machinery, preparing coating materials, performing quality checks, and operating in-plant mobile equipment for material handling. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of safety practices, and experience in manufacturing, specifically with coating processes.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient with hand tools
• Good understanding of general workplace hazards and knowledge of proper safety practices in a high-speed manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of prior manufacturing experience
• Proven experience as a Coater Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of lacquer types, application methods, and finishing techniques
• Familiar with the use of hand and power tools used on the job

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust equipment to meet specifications
• Mix tote tanks of coatings, add solvents, maintain viscosity, and wash up as needed
• Conduct quality checks and react appropriately to the results
• Operate in-plant mobile equipment, such as lift trucks, to move material to and from storage areas

Benefits

• $33.64 per hour
• Work on 2nd Shift, with a 3 percent shift differential, or 3rd shift with a 5 percent shift differential
