About The Position

This is a summer help position for a Coater Operator on the 1st shift. The role involves learning all aspects of the line, including coater and re-wind operations, and operating mobile equipment for job tasks. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is crucial, as is effective communication with operators, leads, and supervisors regarding machine status, issues, and shift changes. The position also includes performing PM tasks on the machine as needed and adhering to quality processes.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment
  • Good attendance record
  • Bending, crawling, stooping, standing, vision, lifting (minimum of 50lbs.), walking
  • Ability to stand for standard 8-hour shift or longer
  • Cognitive skills needed to complete tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for decision making, problem-solving, and comprehending
  • Ability to work assigned shift including overtime and weekends, as needed
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment
  • Licensed to drive a lift truck, but will train if not already licensed

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Safety rules and required PPE
  • Be willing to learn all aspects of line both coater operator and Re-wind operator
  • Learn Mobile equipment for job tasks
  • Keep a clean work environment for safety reasons
  • Communicate with the Operators and Leads, exchange information with the incoming shift
  • PM tasks on machine when needed
  • Communicate issues or restraints to the Supervisor
  • Follow quality processes and call out anything out of sorts
