This role involves overseeing all aspects of the Boys LaCrosse Program, including player development, game strategies, and team leadership. The successful candidate will serve as the Boys Varsity Head LaCrosse Coach, responsible for all tryouts, practices, and games. This position requires a deep understanding of the game, including game management and rules, and the ability to develop and execute effective training programs. The coach will motivate and mentor student-athletes, instructing them in fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training to achieve individual and team success. A key aspect of the role is fostering moral values, pride, social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence, while promoting teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, and skill development. The coach must ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes and cooperate with the School Athletic Director and District Athletic Department. Compliance with all requirements from the District Board of Education, OHSAA, and ODE, including Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) Training/Certification and the ODE Pupil Activity Permit (PAP), is mandatory. The coach will also monitor academic eligibility, adhere to District Athletic Department Policies, and model exemplary behavior. Maintaining appropriate sideline conduct, accepting constructive criticism, and staying aware of all applicable administrative policies are essential. The coach will provide in-season and out-of-season training rules, follow due process for violations, and participate in clinics and school events. Assisting in opponent preparation and maintaining equipment inventory are also responsibilities.
