The Coach delivers scientifically designed Orangetheory Fitness workouts at Austin Fitness Group (AFG) studios and creates a high-energy, motivating, results-driven member experience. The role coaches and engages multiple members in a group fitness setting, represents the Orangetheory Fitness brand, builds member relationships, and supports member retention and engagement. The Coach partners with the studio team to contribute to sales and retention goals, maintain an inclusive studio environment, and ensure a positive member experience before, during, and after classes. The role applies fitness principles across endurance, strength, and power training and uses Orangetheory programming, technology, and coaching tools to support member performance, safety, and results. The Coach reports directly to the Head Coach. The position also supports studio sales and member service through tours, membership information, outreach, follow-ups, lead generation, community relationship-building, marketing initiatives, and accurate transaction processing. It maintains required member records and a clean, organized studio, responds professionally to inquiries and concerns, and participates in team meetings, training, and professional development. The position does not manage a team. The work involves frequent interaction with studio leadership, vendors, contractors, landlords, and internal business partners. The studio may have moderate to loud noise from music and group classes, and work may involve maintenance, repair, and construction environments, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Administrative duties require regular use of computers, mobile devices, phones, and standard office equipment. Scheduling flexibility may be needed for facility emergencies, projects, or business needs outside normal operating hours. No travel is anticipated unless needed for training or other company needs. The role requires frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the studio; regular communication, talking, and hearing in a potentially loud environment; and vision abilities including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. It may occasionally involve lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items such as retail products or supplies up to approximately 50 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, and light cleaning. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. A bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Property Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Requirements include at least five years of progressive facilities, property, construction, or maintenance management experience, preferably in a multi-site retail, hospitality, fitness, or franchise environment; experience managing vendors, contractors, service agreements, facility projects, preventive maintenance, equipment repair, capital improvements, budgets, and expense forecasting; knowledge of building systems and facility operations; and a valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly between studio locations. AFG states that it is committed to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, equal opportunity, and a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. It also commits to providing reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time without notice.
