About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and developing teams, driving financial performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The role involves supervising and developing associates, coordinating job-related activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The trainee will learn to manage store operations, merchandise, inventory, and operational processes, while also focusing on creating a positive and inclusive work environment. Requirements

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
  • Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.

  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit Loss statements.
  • Manages and assists in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  • Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
