About The Position

This position involves leading and developing teams, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving financial performance, and supervising associates. The role requires a strong understanding of store operations, merchandising, and company initiatives. The individual will be responsible for managing budgets, controlling expenses, monitoring inventory, and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales goals. Additionally, the role focuses on developing associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and fostering a culture of belonging. Compliance with company policies and ethical standards is paramount, as is contributing to Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact on associates, customers, and the community.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
