About The Position

Cornerstone Day Services is seeking enthusiastic, people-first Coaches and Lead Coaches for its Day Support Program. The program focuses on empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through four signature experience environments: Sports Club, Tech Lab, and Creative Outlet / Town Stage. The organization emphasizes building community and creating a program that participants are excited to engage with.

Responsibilities

Build genuine, positive relationships with participants.
Encourage choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
Support participants in developing social, communication, recreational, and daily living skills.
Celebrate personal growth and individual accomplishments.
Adapt activities and support to meet each participant's unique needs.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment.
Prepare materials, manage program spaces, and keep things organized.
Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
Complete required daily documentation accurately and on time.
Report incidents and participant concerns promptly.
Take ownership of your assigned program environment (Lead Coach).
Develop monthly activity calendars and keep programming fresh (Lead Coach).
Mentor and model person-centered practices for Coaches (Lead Coach).
Assist in training new team members (Lead Coach).
Communicate participant successes and concerns to leadership (Lead Coach).
Collaborate with the Success Coordinator on participant progress (Lead Coach).
Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations (Lead Coach).
Coordinate community outings, guest speaker visits, demonstrations, and volunteer opportunities (Lead Coach).
Seek out innovative partnerships that expand and enrich participant experiences (Lead Coach).
Facilitate and accompany participants on community outings (Coach).
Support participants in actively participating in community life as a regular part of their day (Coach).
Help participants build real relationships and feel a sense of belonging beyond our walls (Coach).
