Cornerstone Day Services is looking for enthusiastic, people-first Coaches and Lead Coaches to join our growing team and help create a program that participants are genuinely excited to be a part of! Cornerstone is a mission-driven organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to lead fulfilling, confident, and connected lives. Our Day Services program is built around four signature experience environments: Sports Club, Tech Lab, and Creative Outlet / Town Stage. We don't just run programs — we build community.

Responsibilities

• Build genuine, positive relationships with participants
• Encourage choice, independence, and self-advocacy
• Support participants in developing social, communication, recreational, and daily living skills
• Celebrate personal growth and individual accomplishments
• Adapt activities and support to meet each participant's unique needs
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment
• Prepare materials, manage program spaces, and keep things organized
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
• Complete required daily documentation accurately and on time
• Report incidents and participant concerns promptly
• Take ownership of your assigned program environment (Lead Coach)
• Develop monthly activity calendars and keep programming fresh (Lead Coach)
• Mentor and model person-centered practices for Coaches (Lead Coach)
• Assist in training new team members (Lead Coach)
• Communicate participant successes and concerns to leadership (Lead Coach)
• Collaborate with the Success Coordinator on participant progress (Lead Coach)
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations (Lead Coach)
• Coordinate community outings, guest speaker visits, demonstrations, and volunteer opportunities (Lead Coach)
• Seek out innovative partnerships that expand and enrich participant experiences (Lead Coach)
• Facilitate and accompany participants on community outings (Coach)
• Support participants in actively participating in community life as a regular part of their day (Coach)
• Help participants build real relationships and feel a sense of belonging beyond our walls (Coach)
