About The Position
Established in 2010, Coach Across America (CAA) is the nationwide leader in engaging, training and supporting sports coaches to transform youth, programs and communities. Our AmeriCorps coaching program is the first national service program that challenges young adults to give back to their communities through a year of service as coach-mentors. The CAA VISTA placed on the CAA Coach Program Team will focus on improving the overall coach experience. This will include assessing and optimizing various areas of the coach experience from meeting and exceeding coaches’ expectations of their service term, assessment of coach pain points, increasing efficacy of the support visit process and tool, determining opportunities for increasing coach perks, improving curriculum tool usage, and creating best practices documentation and recommendations for improvements. We are seeking a candidate who is great with people, analytic, and a team player. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate to get real world experience in a fast paced coaching non-profit and hone their analytic skills over a year-long service term. The outcomes of this project will have long term impact on coach experience, satisfaction, and professional and personal growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a background in data analysis and interest in sports and/or sports coaching.

Responsibilities
- Optimizing the CAA coach support visit process and accompanying tools
- Conducting in person and virtual site visits
- Pinpointing CAA coach pain points and outlining options for addressing them
- Identifying opportunities for increasing coach perks
- Assessing best practice usage of curriculum tools
- Reviewing data and assessing trends from all existing post surveys including both exited and graduated coaches
- Creating and circulating alumni survey to gain further understanding of long term impacts of participation in coach program
- Writing up final report and making a presentation of findings and recommendations to Senior National Director of Government Programs and Managing Directors
