Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Chemical Laboratory program or similar
  • Eligible for at minimum an 8 month co-op from August 2026 until April 2027
  • Must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check and be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Exemptions to the Canadian government to grant temporary residents/international students access to their export controlled goods is required and takes a minimum of 2 months from offer acceptance for processing. This may delay start dates for candidates on temporary work permits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical analytical procedures to support the operation of an electroplating cell.
  • Support the Plating Technician in troubleshooting quality and procedural issues.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on process instrumentation and equipment.
  • Perform chemical additions as required to ensure chemistry is within specification limits.
  • Candidates should understand the importance of health and safety and be aware of the role chemical hazards play in safe operation.
