ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon. Role and responsibilities Through exposure to advanced test and measurement techniques, you will design and develop test systems and/or applications to support feasibility, robustness, reliability or lifetime testing of advanced semiconductor lithography mechatronic parts and modules. As a Co-op in the Test and Measurement Facility (TMF) within the Quality, Reliability and Test (QRT) Department, you will participate in the following: Develop portions of the lithography system and/or associated tooling and test equipment. You will work on sub-systems involving robotics, mechatronics, precision mechanics and/or opto-mechanics You will need to consider engineering specifications and performance, lifetime, failure modes, root cause analysis, statistical analysis, reliability predictions, 6 sigma techniques, measurement system capability, etc. You will collaborate with system architects and engineers in a multidiscipline project team to develop concepts, perform engineering analysis, build and test prototypes, partner with suppliers, analyze data and support system integration and test
