Co-Op Technician
About The Position
The Co-Op Technician assists shop mechanics with daily operations in a construction equipment shop. Work may include cleaning and inspecting parts for reuse and assisting with the assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of construction equipment. The role also involves grinding, cleaning, and shot blasting. The position is performed in an industrial shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, cold, potential injury, and atmospheric conditions. Protective footwear and eyewear are required. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and performing activities such as sitting, standing, climbing, walking, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
Requirements
- Graduate of a technical school, military school, or currently enrolled in a technical school.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have good motor coordination skills, including coordination of eyes, hands, and feet.
- Must be able to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, cold, injury hazards, and atmospheric conditions.
- Protective footwear and eyewear are required.
- Physical capabilities include stamina, sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, listening, and speaking.
- Verbal and numerical intelligence.
