About The Position

This is a 6-month co-op opportunity at Philips in Murrysville, PA, for individuals currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree. The role offers hands-on experience within a HealthTech company, supporting the day-to-day activities of the department. This includes strategic, operational, and administrative responsibilities aimed at continuous improvement in a dynamic environment. The co-op will collaborate with stakeholders to support departmental processes impacting Philips' med-tech products, conduct research on industry trends and best practices, and analyze data to identify trends and support decision-making. The role involves delivering recommendations, preparing reports and presentations, participating in team meetings, and managing departmental documentation to ensure accessibility and regulatory compliance. The co-op will support established processes with accuracy and autonomy within defined procedures.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to review data, identify trends, and use insights to support decisions.
  • Understanding of procedures, ability to translate them into requirements, and identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Curious, hands-on problem solver who learns technical and operational processes quickly.
  • Interest in process improvement, operational efficiency, and implementing better tools and systems.
  • Ability to organize information clearly and contribute to documentation, training content, remediation activities and other project deliverables.
  • Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day activities of the department, including strategic, operational, and administrative responsibilities that contribute to continuous improvement goals in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support departmental processes that indirectly impact Philips' med-tech products.
  • Conduct research on relevant topics, industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape to provide insights that support ongoing projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry developments while continuously building technical expertise and demonstrating a commercial and growth mindset.
  • Analyze data related to departmental projects, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies to support data-informed decision making.
  • Deliver actionable recommendations and assist in preparing accurate, clear reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings by contributing ideas, strategic input, and supporting discussions that drive departmental objectives.
  • Capture detailed meeting minutes, decisions, and action items to ensure effective communication, follow-up, and accountability.
  • Organize, maintain, and manage departmental documentation, records, reports, and essential files to ensure accessibility, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support established departmental processes with a high degree of accuracy while exercising autonomy within defined procedures.
