About The Position

MealSuite is seeking a People & Culture Co-Op Student to join their People & Culture team for the September 2026 - December 2026 co-op term. This role reports to the People Operations Specialist and will involve various tasks related to performance and development, engagement and retention, talent acquisition, people analytics and reporting, onboarding and offboarding, and administrative duties. The co-op student will also work on specific projects such as employee resource group creation, developing a People and Culture Moments Calendar, and BambooHR file migration and data clean-up.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with a Canadian institution in Business, Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Experience with digital productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar).
  • Experience using a Human Resource Information System (BambooHR preferred).
  • Familiarity with compliance and training platforms, such as EasyLlama, Udemy, or similar.
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively in both written and verbal form.
  • Active listening skills, demonstrating attention to stakeholder needs, the ability to ask clarifying questions, and confirm understanding before acting.
  • The ability to build relationships across different business functions and show a team-oriented attitude.
  • Demonstrates proactive communication by identifying and raising issues early, providing regular progress updates, and confidently escalating blockers when needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow leader conversations where the P&C Business Partner is rolling out the skills matrix.
  • Partner with a leader and P&C Business Partner to assist with developing the matrix for their team.
  • Track participation in any training initiatives.
  • Assist with eNPS coordination and results compilation.
  • Assist with the CSR Committee (MS Cares Q4 initiative, fundraisers, and planning for 2027).
  • Update the P&C slides for Town Halls.
  • Create job postings.
  • Review applications.
  • Shadow phone screens.
  • Assist with rolling out the co-op program for 2027.
  • Ensure data is traced accurately in HRIS (BambooHR).
  • Learn how metrics are used in decision making.
  • Assist with onboarding preparation.
  • Shadow first day orientations.
  • Shadow exit interviews.
  • Coordinate checklists and tracking for employee exists.
  • Assist with data entry in various P&C-related systems.
  • Assist with employee handbook policy creation & updates.
  • Employee resource group creation (approximately 15 hours to complete).
  • People and Culture Moments Calendar with campaign plans - Build an annual calendar of key cultural and awareness dates with a brief activation plan for each, including internal & external communications (approximately 30 hours to complete).
  • BambooHR file migration and data clean-up (approximately 80 hours to complete).
