OFS is seeking a Co-op student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Physics, Optics, or Electrical Engineering to work in the Optical Fiber Research & Development organization in Norcross, Georgia. This position involves the planning and hands-on execution of new optical fiber development, including design, characterization, prototyping, and validation. The co-op will gain valuable experience and improve engineering skills by working with engineers to characterize prototype samples and potentially lead an independent project each semester. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a desire for hands-on lab work, creativity, critical interpretation, and analysis of experimental data. Excellent communication, analytical, and experimental skills are essential.
