The Co-op Student, Neighbourhoods Development, supports subdivision and site plan projects through CAD drafting and design documentation, while gaining hands-on experience and exposure to real estate development and sales processes. Requirements

Currently enrolled in a co-op program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology (Civil), Geomatics / GIS or related field, or Urban Planning.
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD required.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), basic use of AI tools for office efficiency.
Effective communication and willingness to learn in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to Civil 3D, GIS (ArcGIS), or SketchUp would be a bonus.
Basic understanding of site grading and servicing, planning approvals process, and land development fundamentals would be a bonus.
Interest or knowledge in our communities, real estate, land development or development economics would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

Create and/or update subdivision layouts, site plans, and concept drawings for future developments (Site plans, Subdivision layouts).
Produce and update drawings using AutoCAD and support the coordination of drawings with internal teams and external consultants.
Complete checking and updating of drawings to ensure they comply with municipal design standards, zoning requirements, technical constraints and natural features.
Work with internal leadership, Project Managers and Real Estate team members to ensure drawings align with customer requirements.
Organize and maintain drawing files and other documentation.
Assist with basic data analysis and research to support real estate and development decisions.
