About The Position
This is a 6-month paid internship opportunity at Philips' Murrysville, PA site for individuals currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree. The intern will support the Manufacturing Engineering team responsible for production line set-up, equipment maintenance, and process validation for Philips' Hospital Patient Monitoring business. The role involves gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing line set-up, equipment troubleshooting, and validation protocols within the Philips Quality System, working full-time onsite.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Strong, demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Dependable, detail-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of Python or other programming languages.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820.
Responsibilities
- Support the Manufacturing Engineering team responsible for production line set-up, equipment maintenance, and process validation.
- Gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing line set-up, equipment troubleshooting, and validation protocols within the Philips Quality System.
- Partner closely with quality, R&D, Industrialization, and equipment stakeholders.
