About The Position

This is a full-time, in-person role for a sophomore or junior student in Corpus Christi, TX. The position runs from July 2026 to December 2026, requiring the student to take a semester off from classes. The role involves supporting the equipment survey process and the Flowstar.net program, as well as inventory survey and consolidation efforts. The intern will also support daily advancements as directed by the Engineering Manager, examine failed products with written and oral explanations, and develop a foundational understanding of pump and mechanical seal fundamentals. Additionally, the intern will foster working relationships with various engineering and sales personnel, attend management-designated meetings, and support key initiatives for the local Flowserve Quick Response Center.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering enrollment in good standing at an accredited university
• Good communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs
• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude
• Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities in a self-directed environment
• Ability to learn quickly and develop good trouble shooting skills
• Strong work ethic with positive attitude
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to travel occasionally to support needs within the Gulf Coast Region

Nice To Haves

• Ability to utilize measuring equipment (i.e.. dial calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Support the equipment survey process and Flowstar.net program
• Support inventory survey and consolidation efforts
• Support daily advancements toward the agreed upon as set forth by the Engineering Manager
• Examine failed products, providing both written and oral explanations to the responsible Flowserve personnel
• Develop and acquire basic knowledge of pump and mechanical seal fundamentals to support Flowserve activities
• Develop and maintain working relationship with Application Engineers, Sales Engineers, Regional Reliability Engineer, and Engineering Manager
• Attend and support meetings as designated by management
• Support key initiatives supporting the local Flowserve Quick Response Center
