Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in an aligned degree program.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Available for a 40-hour-per-week, on-site co-op assignment.
  • Able to collaborate in a manufacturing and engineering environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Engineering: Industrial, Systems, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related; CAD, Excel, lean methods, and statistical analysis preferred.
  • Digitalization: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or related; Power BI, Ignition, Python, Microsoft SQL Server, REST APIs, and UI design preferred.
  • Industrial Engineering candidates must be able to travel within the U.S. and Mexico and cross the border without restriction.

Responsibilities

  • Uses industrial engineering and lean methods to improve safety, flow, capacity, and efficiency.
  • Perform time studies, standard work updates, line balancing, and value stream mapping.
  • Design or update workstation, production-line, and warehouse layouts using CAD.
  • Evaluate ergonomics, tooling, storage, staging, and delivery routes.
  • Analyze production data, bottlenecks, OEE, quality issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Create KPI tools and assist with automation, machinery, tooling, and capital projects.
  • Partner with operators, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams.
  • Transforms and analyzes manufacturing data to improve production efficiency and profitability.
  • Use Power BI, Ignition, and related tools to transform and analyze data.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations for plant stakeholders and senior management.
  • Identify operational and business improvements using digital manufacturing data.
  • Explore practical artificial intelligence applications in manufacturing processes.
  • Translate operational needs into digital solutions with engineering and business partners.
