About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Community Support Team Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist to join their team in Raleigh, NC. This role involves providing services to individuals with mental health or substance use disorders who meet specific criteria. The specialist will conduct comprehensive substance abuse assessments, use outreach and motivational interviewing techniques, facilitate Person-Centered Planning, provide structured face-to-face interventions, and offer psychosocial rehabilitative interventions and case coordination. The position is community-based, including visits to clients in their homes, and serves the Statesville and surrounding areas.

Requirements

Bachelo's degree or Master's degree
Must be certified as a CCS, LCAS, LCASA, CSAC or CADC.
Able to be credentialed as a Mental Health Qualified Professional
A valid driver's license, current auto insurance and a good driving record
Demonstrate high moral and ethical character, and be free of any substantiated charges of abuse or neglect on the NC Healthcare Registry

Nice To Haves

A human services degree is preferred.
Certification as a medical administrative technician or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide services to individuals who have a mental health or substance use disorder and meet the two life domains.
Conduct comprehensive substance abuse assessments.
Use outreach and motivational interviewing techniques to work with individuals in earlier stages of change readiness.
Facilitate the Person-Centered Planning process.
Provide structured face-to-face interventions.
Provide psychosocial rehabilitative interventions and case coordination.
Carry out a full range of treatment functions wherever and whenever needed in a community setting.
Participate in the crisis phone rotation.
