About The Position

Riverside Community Care is seeking a passionate Co-Occurring Clinician to join their Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) team. This is an opportunity to join a growing team of dedicated behavioral health professionals in an outpatient setting. The Co-Occurring Clinician will provide direct clinical assessment and psychotherapy for consumers with co-occurring substance use and mental health concerns. They will facilitate an integrated team approach in the consumer’s care plan with inclusion of CBHC services provided by Recovery Coaches, Recovery Support Coordinators, nursing, and psychiatry. The clinician will also develop individualized treatment plans for psychotherapy needs and a service plan that coordinates and integrates all components of the CBHC team members in collaboration with the consumer.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
  • At least two years experience working with individuals struggling with mental health and/or substance use disorders, including assessment, diagnosis and counseling
  • Must meet all requirements to maintain an active professional license in the individual’s professional discipline, including, but not limited to, continuing education, ethical requirements, etc.
  • Comfort and ability to use principles of harm reduction and self-determination.
  • Demonstrate competencies in all required evidenced based practices as determined by CBHC

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical assessment and psychotherapy for consumers with co-occurring (substance use and mental health) concerns.
