About The Position

The University of the District of Columbia is seeking a highly organized coordinator to facilitate administrative and programmatic implementation of a federally funded Center for Nanotechnology Research and Education (CNRE) and DoD quantum research and research-capacity-building initiative. Research activities are performed substantially within CNRE facilities, and the Coordinator works in person from the CNRE research environment. The role coordinates the operational infrastructure that enables faculty, researchers, students, and collaborators to carry out project activities efficiently. The position’s primary areas include day-to-day program operations, financial coordination, administrative execution, personnel-performance processes, meetings and events, quantum-literacy activities, outreach, and grant-reporting support. The Coordinator works closely with project leadership, investigators, students, research staff, UDC HR, Finance, Procurement and sponsored-program offices, external collaborators, and the CNRE Innovation, Research & Commercialization Grant Coordinator. The role has particular responsibility for program operations, while the companion coordinator focuses particularly on research innovation, prototyping, and commercialization. Appointment and continuation depend on grant funding availability and satisfactory performance.
