This position is responsible for preparing and serving meals in a quick and pleasant manner. The role ensures that food is replenished regularly during meal service times, completes work and cleaning assignments as directed, and maintains records for accountability. The CNP Worker also performs cashier duties, maintains a proper and professional relationship with students, faculty, co-workers, and other employees and visitors, and maintains confidentiality of school-related business. An accurate inventory of all food and supplies must be maintained, and duties should be performed in a manner that promotes good public relations. This is an 184-day position with 6 hours per day, considered full year employment. The job description outlines the general nature and level of work, but the successful candidate may be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Madison City Schools reserves the right to amend the job description as needed and may fill the position by transfer of a qualified internal applicant. Under the Students First Act of 2011, credit toward tenure or non-probationary status is not earned in the initial school year if the hire date is after September 30.
