About The Position
NEXEN Tooling LLC is seeking a full-time, on-site CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder at its Sanford, Maine location. The company manufactures high-performance carbide cutting tools. The role operates and maintains grinding equipment to produce those tools, including setting up machines, monitoring production, adjusting parameters, performing quality control, and maintaining accurate records. The position is entry level, and the company offers relocation.
Requirements
- Ability to be trained to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC grinding machines to produce high-performance carbide cutting tools.
- Set up machines, monitor production, and adjust parameters to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform quality control using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals.
