This role involves the maintenance, setup, and preventative care of CNC machinery and precision equipment, including tube mills, fin presses, form rolling machines, benders, and the embossing mill. The primary goals are to ensure uptime and reliability of equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, communicating issues and ideas to the team, and complying with all safety standards. The technician will execute work orders, perform mechanical repairs and rebuilds, manage machine linear guides and ball screws, support PM scheduling, and work with complex NC machines up to 4 Axis. They will also perform machine leveling and alignment, identify and replace parts, troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, and participate in 6S activities and capital equipment project launches. The role requires documenting completed work, reporting near misses and accidents, and potentially adjusting working hours based on workload. The technician will act as both trainer and trainee and may perform direct labor tasks as needed, while maintaining positive and professional behavior. Owning equipment efficiently is paramount to the success of the department and the plant.
