About The Position

This position will provide an experienced Maintenance Associate to Rinnai America for performing maintenance, repairs, and installation of manufacturing equipment. This position will also provide minor maintenance and repairs to the building facilities. Small fabrication projects will also fall under the responsibility of this position. This position is located at 500 The Lakes Pkwy, Griffin, GA 30224. Shift: 1st shift Schedule: Monday – Friday

Requirements

  • High School diploma/ GED Required
  • 2-year technical degree in Industrial Systems Technology or comparable experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance field will be considered
  • Knowledge and familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge and experience working with fabrication shop tools and equipment.
  • Hands on knowledge of welding
  • Familiar with manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical prints for trouble shooting purposes.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with Company safety practices.
  • Can work independently.
  • Use welding for fabrication and repair.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to fabricate and modify tools and fixtures.
  • Ability to operate personnel lifts safely and effectively.
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Microsoft products such as MS Word and MS Excel
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Constantly assessing accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and application of PLC controls a plus
  • Troubleshooting PLCs, a plus
  • Knowledge of robotic programming and repair a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment including, but not limited to piping, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Connect electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic lines to equipment.
  • Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.
  • Preventative maintenance of all equipment including HVAC.
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment, spare parts, and supplies.
  • Work with the assembly/fabrication team to develop preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for the assembly and fabrication equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce and eliminate unscheduled downtime.
  • Ensure that all aspects of work conform to Company safety practices.
  • Fabricate simple jigs and tools needed for production.
  • Trouble shooting equipment containing hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, robotic, and PLCs with the use of manuals and schematics.
  • Knowledge of Robots and their controls. Ability to program and repair.
  • Awareness and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Document and record PM’s, spare parts, equipment history, etc. in our CMMS – Asset Solutions daily.
  • Familiarity with HMI machine controls, ability to operate and debug.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

  • Repair and maintain computer-controlled systems and robotic devices.
  • Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and computers.
  • Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems, monitor automated systems, isolate problems, and perform repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot the issue and determine if the problem is mechanical, electrical or from the computer systems controlling the process. Then the technician must repair or replace any necessary components, such as a sensor or electrical wiring.
  • Technician’s design and service control systems ranging from electromechanical devices and systems to high-speed robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Skillset should include robotic assembly devices, conveyors, electrical distribution systems, and building automation systems.
  • Physically able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Task oriented approach with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to develop high levels of cooperation and respect from staff, colleagues, and suppliers alike.

  • Disassembling machinery units or parts to discover faults and malfunctions or diagnosing problems via a performance monitoring system.

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and expertise in a wide range of maintenance activities.
