Oversee the manufacturing of metal parts according with work instructions and best practices. This role involves performing adjustments related to machine settings, tools, and times, analyzing part measurements to determine necessary adjustments, and being responsible for production and quality output for a specified area. The technician will read blueprints, review measurement reports, and use precision measurement equipment. Fundamentals of G & M code functions, fixturing, and work-holding principles are important. The role requires troubleshooting various issues including machine errors, tooling errors, and out-of-tolerance programming errors. Ensuring documentation is correct, performing booking operations, and using hand tools for de-burring parts are also key responsibilities. The technician will perform visual inspections, train operators on SOPs and visual inspection details, and help with workflow by identifying bottlenecks and communicating status. Maintaining a high level of safety and cleanliness, supporting production plans, and communicating potential issues are crucial. The role also involves supporting Lean Manufacturing activities and leading a team of Machine Operators in technical and operational topics.
