About The Position

Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH Global) is seeking a CNC Tech to set up and operate automated machines to fabricate parts. This role requires applying knowledge of shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, maintainability materials, and layout techniques. The position involves both Level I and Level II essential functions, including operating machines using existing programs, managing cutting tools and offsets, inspecting parts for conformity, identifying materials and tools, monitoring material supply, performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Compliance with 5S and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements is essential. Additionally, the role requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and may involve other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Entry level with some experience preferred to two (2) years of related experience or education to include one (1) year experience with similar automated equipment.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • Participation in a DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated machines using existing programs.
  • Remove/replace cutting tools and offsets as required.
  • Inspect condition of tools and replace as needed.
  • Inspect cut material/part prior to CNC operation to ensure conformity and compliance with blueprints, models, and/or engineering documents.
  • Identify material and appropriate cutting tools.
  • Set up material and inspect for serviceability.
  • Monitor material supply.
  • Validate preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
  • Alert maintenance of any repair/preventative issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with 5S and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
  • Test program and ensure machine is set up in accordance with drawings.
  • Manipulate programs to fit inserts into material, ensuring fit and conformity.
  • Complete paperwork and other documents as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
