About The Position
Seeking an experienced CNC/steel processing operator to run fabrication equipment and prepare materials according to production specifications. Experience with one or more of the following is required: Kinetic Plasma Table, Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line, Peddinghaus Angle Master, Ficep Beamline. Experience operating overhead cranes, performing detailed part marking, and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. is also required.
Requirements
- CNC plasma, sawing, drilling, or cutting experience required
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16"
- Basic math skills
- Safe operation of overhead cranes and material transfer/convey systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Kinetic Plasma Table
- Experience with Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line
- Experience with Peddinghaus Angle Master
- Experience with Ficep Beamline
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and notes
- Tekla PowerFab experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Set machine controls and parameters for production
- Verify material type, dimensions, and stock requirements
- Measure materials against design specifications
- Apply required part numbers, markings, and production data
- Track daily production and material usage
- Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
