About The Position

We are hiring a CNC Saw & Drill Operator to process structural steel components using automated cutting and drilling equipment. The ideal candidate has experience with structural steel, CNC machinery, blueprint reading, and precision measuring.

Requirements

  • Experience operating CNC saws, drill lines, or similar automated equipment in structural steel or manufacturing.
  • Ability to read structural steel blueprints, shop drawings, cut lists, and CNC instructions.
  • Experience with CNC setups, tooling changes, program adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of structural steel, including I-beams, columns, channels, angles, and plate.
  • Ability to measure and inspect parts accurately using precision measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and working around heavy machinery and steel materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience with CNC structural steel fabrication software or systems is a plus.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC saws and multi-spindle drill lines for I-beams, columns, channels, angles, and other structural steel.
  • Work from blueprints, shop drawings, cut lists, CNC programs, and fabrication details.
  • Load and position material using overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Perform cutting, drilling, coping, and hole-making operations while maintaining required dimensions and tolerances.
  • Complete machine setups, tooling changes, program adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Check first-piece and completed parts using tape measures, squares, calipers, levels, and other measuring tools.
  • Record production information and report material or equipment issues.
  • Follow OSHA, company safety, and quality procedures in a heavy fabrication environment.
