About The Position
Seeking an experienced CNC Steel Processing Operator to operate and support steel-processing equipment. Experience with one or more of the following is required: Kinetic Plasma Table, Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line, Peddinghaus Angle Master, or Ficep Beamline.
Requirements
- CNC plasma table experience or experience with steel sawing, drilling, or cutting equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, symbols, and notes preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in hot and cold environments.
- Safe operation of overhead cranes and material-handling systems.
Nice To Haves
- Tekla PowerFab experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set machine controls and select appropriate operating parameters.
- Verify material type, stock size, and dimensions.
- Measure materials against design specifications.
- Mark and transfer required information onto materials.
- Operate overhead cranes and material transfer/convey systems safely.
- Maintain accurate production and material-usage records.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
