About The Position

Custom Wire Technologies, Inc., a trusted manufacturer of precision medical components, is seeking a CNC Set-up Technician for their 1st Shift team. This role offers a stable work environment in the medical manufacturing industry, utilizing modern equipment in a job-shop setting where each day presents new challenges. The position is full-time with a day shift schedule from 6 AM to 2 PM, providing evenings free. The company culture is supportive, with opportunities for training others and developing leadership skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3+ years of machine set‑up experience (CNC preferred)
• Manufacturing experience with mechanical systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
• Familiarity with hand tools and basic measurement
• Ability to perform basic math
• Adaptability in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

• Technical or trade school education
• Experience with CNC programs and programming
• Medical device or regulated industry experience
• Job shop manufacturing background
• Experience with engineering change processes

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC and related production equipment
• Adjusting machinery and processes to maintain quality and efficiency
• Reviewing work orders and schedules to meet customer needs
• Performing routine, preventative, and basic corrective maintenance
• Troubleshooting equipment or process issues
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and setup documentation
• Working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams
• Assisting with training and mentoring technicians or production staff
• Following GMPs, SOPs, and all safety and quality requirements
