About The Position

Under direction of the barrel machining production supervisor, perform diversified duties including setting up and maintaining equipment in a process control environment. Ensure systems run smoothly with minimal supervision. Requires a keen eye for detail and a strong working knowledge of machine capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC operator.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
• Good communication abilities.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
• Read and understand blueprints and mechanical drawings to interpret specifications and desired outcomes.
• Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Perform test runs to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications.
• Set machines to complete full cycles for fabricating large numbers of parts.
• Supervise machines during operation and make necessary adjustments for optimal results.
• Inspect and measure finished products against requirements to ensure proper process completion.
• Perform daily checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure functionality.
