CNC Router Operator, 2nd Shift
About The Position
Hera Technologies is a premier contract manufacturer specializing in high-precision metallic and non-metallic solutions for the Aerospace, Defense, Space, and Commercial Airline sectors. We are seeking a highly motivated CNC Router Machinist/Operator to join our team in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a manufacturing setting, possess working computer knowledge, and be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. This role involves producing machined parts by setting up and operating CNC routers, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping accurate records, and maintaining equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related area.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Knowledge of a variety of cutting tools.
- Ability to work with shop math.
- Ability to use standard measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
- Ability and willingness to learn to perform cross-functional operations.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination, including a drug and alcohol test.
- Must be a US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain necessary US Department of State authorizations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with machining of metallics, composites, and plastics.
- Experience with Multicam CNC Routers.
- Experience with EnRoute CAD/CAM Software.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machines to produce parts using work orders, blueprints, material lists, and specifications.
- Interpret job instructions including CNC programs, tool lists, job routings, and part drawings.
- Load appropriate tool holders, tools, and fixtures into the machine.
- Stage and prepare material for cutting.
- Determine proper tooling and feed rates based on material and job requirements.
- Ensure proper cooling of the workpiece and tools.
- Run programs, take measurements, and make necessary adjustments to produce quality parts.
- Modify programs as needed to address problems.
- Clean and deburr parts before transferring them to the next department.
- Inspect the first run piece and subsequent pieces for conformance to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support 5-S initiatives and adhere to health, safety, and environmental company guidelines.
- Perform cross-functional operations.
