About The Position

Hera Technologies is seeking a highly motivated CNC Router Machinist/Operator to join its team. The candidate must be familiar with a manufacturing environment, have working computer knowledge, and be a self-starter who pays attention to detail and accuracy. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating CNC routers, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping accurate records, maintaining equipment, and performing other duties as assigned. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related area.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Knowledge of a variety of cutting tools.
  • Ability to work with shop math.
  • Ability to use standard measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
  • Ability and willingness to learn to perform cross-functional operations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination, including a drug and alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with machining of metallics, composites, and plastics.
  • Experience with Multicam CNC Routers.
  • Experience with EnRoute CAD/CAM Software.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines to produce parts by using work orders, blueprints, material lists, and specifications.
  • Interpret job instructions such as CNC programs, tool list, job routing, part drawings and in-process quality instructions.
  • Locate the appropriate tool holders, tools, and fixtures and load them into the machine.
  • Stage and prep material for cutting.
  • Determine proper tooling and feed rates per material/Job.
  • Ensure that the work piece and tools are properly cooled.
  • Run the program, take measurements, and make any adjustments necessary to produce quality parts.
  • Modify programs in response to problems.
  • Clean/deburr parts before transfer to next department.
  • Inspect first run piece and check succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Support 5-S and adhere to health, safety, and environmental company guidelines.
  • Perform cross-functional operations.
