Operates GIBBS computer programming to generate Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) programs used to control CNC machine tools that drill, mill, bore, etc. Analyzes drawings and specifications to determine program input data such as hole sizes, tool sizes, reference points, and direction of machine cutting paths. Calculates data such as starting point coordinates (location), size of Fixture Panels and number of Fixtures per Fixture panel. Using 3D Models extract part Geometry to create tool paths as well as Tool Speeds and Feeds using GIBBS CAM as well as Manually Programming at the machine. Keys in additional instructions such as tool size, machine feed and speed rates, and starting point coordinates. When naming the program if possible use part number. Set up Machines, Cut Fixtures when necessary and Produce the first part to verify program performance and verify correct dimensions. Submit the first Article to Quality Control and make adjustments when necessary from the CMM Report. When Necessary Run and complete the entire Production Job. All Programs and Fixtures should be error free so that a CNC Operator can run the parts. Set up Blueprints should be made with instructions so in the future CNC Operators can set up and run the production jobs.
