Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college OR associate degree with a minimum of 2 years in manufacturing experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience; All manufacturing experience must be specifically machining, assembly, machine repair or inspection.
  • CAM programming experience (e.g. NX, Mastercam, Pro/E).
  • Proficient in shop mathematics (e.g. geometry and trigonometry, blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

Nice To Haves

  • Machining experience, CNC and/or manual.
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working internally and with vendors for tooling, fixturing and gage design.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction - self-starter.
  • Ability to interface with various levels of management (e.g. Design Engineering and Project) and shop floor workforce.
  • Ability to maintain relationships that facilitate task accomplishment; to cooperate and resolve conflicts; to recognize needs and be sensitive of others.
  • Ability to receive guidance and supervision; follow work rules, safety practices, work procedures; meet deadlines; punctuality and attendance standards, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC processes for lathes, multi-axis mills, and mill-turns (e.g. tooling selection and CAM programming).
  • Develop programs for special processes (e.g. EDM, laser-welding, robotics).
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts on mature and legacy hardware.
  • Set up and operate machine tool equipment (both CNC and standard types) to support development and production cell activities.
  • Work to product definition (e.g. MBD, engineering drawings, shop blueprints, and sketches) and verbal instructions to produce development hardware.
  • Perform in-process dimensional checks to verify program results.
  • Create production work instructions and support revisions as appropriate for process changes.
  • Troubleshoot process issues.
  • Provide direction to other skilled employees involved with development and production.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
