About The Position

Divergent is a technology company that has architected, invented, built, and commercialized an end-to-end factory system called the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) that comprehensively uses machine learning to optimally engineer, additively manufacture, and flexibly assemble complex integrated vehicle structures and subsystems. Products created using DAPS are superior in performance, lower in cost, rapidly customizable to meet mission and customer-specific requirements, faster to market, and scalable on demand to high volume production. Divergent is a qualified Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs, and Divergent is now expanding to support mission critical needs in the Aerospace and Defense sector. Join us to be a part of this transformative journey, where your impact will shape the future of technology and production. The CNC Programmer (Turning & Grinding Focus) is a highly technical manufacturing role responsible for developing and executing advanced machining processes with a primary focus on horizontal turning mills, mill-turn platforms, and precision grinding operations, while supporting broader CNC machining activities as required. This role owns the full machining workflow including process development, fixture design, CNC programming, machine setup support, prove-out, inspection collaboration, and production optimization. The CNC Programmer partners closely with manufacturing engineering, design engineering, and shop operations teams to develop robust, repeatable, and scalable machining strategies for high-performance aerospace, automotive, defense, and energy components. Operating in a fast-paced hardware environment, this individual will lead the development of advanced machining solutions for complex rotational hardware and precision-critical components, supporting both prototype development and high-rate production. This role combines deep CAM expertise, strong shop-floor execution, and hands-on manufacturing problem solving.
