About The Position

Precision Resource is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Set-Up Technician for their California Division in Huntington Beach. This role is part of the innovative Engineering team and focuses on improving manufacturing processes, integrating automation, and supporting daily operations through machining process development, new equipment setup, and troubleshooting. Precision Resource is a family-owned company with over 75 years of experience as a leading global supplier of precision metal components and assemblies, serving the automotive, medical, aerospace & defense, and firearms/weapons industries.

Requirements

CNC programming experience, ideally with Mastercam
Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
Proficiency in reading and understanding drawings and schematics
Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
At least 3 years of manual machining experience
3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. or protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with controls, industrial robotics, conveyor systems, and PLC programming
EDM expertise
5-axis CNC machining expertise

Responsibilities

Create CNC programs for mills (vertical, horizontal and 5 axis) and lathes for new parts and improve the machining strategy for existing parts
Incorporate new machinery and equipment into the production process seamlessly
Perform hands-on setup and resolve issues with manufacturing and automation equipment
Create fixtures for CNC machining and CMM inspection
Recommend and implement enhancements to manufacturing methods, equipment, and operating procedures, with a focus on CNC machining and automation
Support team leaders and members in evaluating and implementing ongoing improvement projects
