About The Position

Nesco Resource is seeking a CNC Programmer/Manager for their 2nd shift operations in Bethel, CT. This role is responsible for programming, grinding & milling operations, machine setup, and operating production processes, including CNC or manually controlled equipment. The position ensures the quality and quantity of work produced by the machine, dealing with products such as gun parts, warheads, tank parts, aerospace parts, and computer boxes. The role also involves analyzing machine problems, using precision measuring equipment, following quality standards, inspecting own work, training other operators, and maintaining excellent housekeeping and 6S standards. Punctuality, reliability, and responsibility are essential. Steel-toed boots are required.

Requirements

5+ years of CNC experience
Experience with set up/programming CNC Mill, Lathe, or Swiss Screw Machines
Must have steel toed boots

Responsibilities

Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by machine.
Programming, milling/grinding operations.
Analyze machine problems and take corrective action.
Use precision measuring equipment to judge quality of work such as microscopes, micrometers, air gages, electronic gages, and dial indicators.
Follow ISPI's and PSPI's and accurately record data as directed.
Perform inspection of own work and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.
Train other operators as needed.
May be required to work in other departments or, occasionally, to set up a machine for others to operate.
Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 6S in all areas.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Must be punctual, reliable and responsible.
