About The Position

Ameristar is growing and seeking an experienced machinist to join their team. This role involves operating CNC machines to produce custom parts from various alloys, ensuring quality, and maintaining equipment. The company offers a comfortable, air-conditioned plant environment and a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule with availability on both first and second shifts.

Requirements

Experience as a CNC machinist.
Ability to machine parts from aluminum, steel, and other alloys.
Proficiency in selecting and editing CNC programs.
Experience programming and setting up mills and lathes.
Knowledge of tooling and tool wear.
Understanding of safety procedures for equipment operation.
Ability to review work orders and follow process specifications.
Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machining equipment to produce various custom parts from aluminum, steel, and other alloys.
Ensure the quality of produced parts and make necessary adjustments to equipment settings.
Take proper care of all CNC equipment.
Ensure product produced meets or exceeds customer specifications.
Review work orders and follow process specifications to avoid errors.
Select and accurately edit programs for each job to produce good parts.
Program and set up mills and lathes.
Load appropriate tooling for each job and keep track of tool wear.
Follow all safety steps and procedures for safe equipment operation.
Notify supervisor to resolve process, product, equipment, and production issues.
Attend work regularly.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
