About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to machine intricate hardware from diverse materials. The role collaborates with engineers and manufacturing staff to create precision parts for various applications. The ideal candidate has programming, setup, and operational experience with multiple machine types, including 5-axis CNC Mills and CNC Mill-turns. This is a first-shift position in Huntsville, Alabama, scheduled for four 10-hour days from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. Travel is 0–10%.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
Associate degree, two years of formal technical training, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of CAM programming experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and technical instructions.
Ability to process part plans, program, set up, and independently operate CNC equipment.
Familiarity with AS9100 quality processes.
Availability for first shift, four 10-hour days, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
Must receive and present OSHA 10-Hour Training Course for General Industry certification within the first 90 days of employment. Training may be completed online; preference is given to candidates who completed it before employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience programming, setting up, and operating DMG Mori Mill Turn centers.
Hands-on experience with Haas and Mazak CNC Mills.
Proficiency in Mastercam programming.
Background in a prototyping or low-volume production environment.
OSHA 10-Hour Training Course for General Industry certification completed before employment.

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate 5-axis CNC Mills, CNC Mill-turns, and other manual machinery.
Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique, high-precision parts.
Plan and execute machining tasks independently while following quality and efficiency standards.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to meet production goals.
