CNC Programmer I
About The Position
The CNC Programmer I supports the programming team by creating and modifying CNC programs for machined parts and assisting with documentation and program verification under the guidance of senior programmers or manufacturing engineers. The role involves programming CNC mills and lathes, preparing setup documentation, supporting program simulation and first-article activities, updating existing programs, and maintaining program and tool data. The employee follows safety and quality procedures and learns advanced programming techniques while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of CNC programming or advanced machining experience.
- Basic proficiency in CAM software and understanding of G-code.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Willingness to learn multi-axis programming and oil and gas component requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on machining experience.
- Familiarity with Mastercam, Espirit, or similar software.
Responsibilities
- Develop CNC programs for CNC mills and lathes using CAM software under supervision.
